The daily creates were super fun this week (like always). We were assigned three daily creates this week, and the ones I completed ranged from life’s mysteries to a pet poster mashup.

Life’s Mystery

The first daily create I completed this week called for life’s biggest mystery for me right now. Ever since I started going to college, I have had the problem of not eating enough for breakfast sometimes. What always confused me was the growl from my stomach even after I ate a huge breakfast just two hours earlier. I did get an excellent reply to this tweet, possibly solving this mystery for me. The following shows Bill Genereux‘s reply to my mystery, explaining that I may only be dehydrated.

Does Technology Make Us More Alone?

The second daily create for this week was asking us if technology makes us (as a society) more alone. I kind of played devil’s advocate for this one, saying both yes and no. There are definitely situations where technology can make us more isolated from one another. People can use technology, like social media, to avoid the people around them and just interact with the people they know. Technology can make it both harder and easier to make friends with people. While someone may have many followers on Instagram or friends on Facebook, it does not necessarily mean that they are not alone in “real life”.

Pet Film Poster Mashup

This last daily create is my favorite. I love all things Photoshop and design (as I have written many, many times), so this was super fun to create. I used the Adobe PhotoshopMix app on my phone again to create this image. In order to choose the movie poster, I just googled “movie posters” and picked one that I thought would be funny to edit. I chose “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” because I enjoyed watching the movie, and the poster was designed very well. As soon as I saw the poster, I knew that I had to photoshop Luke Skywalker’s face out for a dog. The dog in the image is not my dog; I just found the picture online after searching for a perfect image to replace Luke’s face. I really love how it turned out, and I can’t wait to see what Daily Creates will be in store for us next week!
